Responsibilities

  • Take direct ownership of the JD Edwards address book including supplier setup, payment details, tax documentation, and monitoring vendor activity
  • Provide daily guidance and support to the Accounts Payable Specialist team, assisting with coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Lead Accounts Payable activities related to acquisitions by coordinating between Merger & Acquisition teams and AP, preparing supplier communications, and managing integration timing
  • Assist with 1099 compilation, filing, reporting, and compliance, including handling AP tax issues such as IRS levies
  • Support Accounting with Escheat review and compilation tasks
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency, analyzing current standards and metrics to develop solutions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical experts to map current and future process states, create project plans, and report progress to stakeholders
  • Train and guide team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Hold an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bring at least two years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with MS Access is an advantage
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
