Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

The client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and enhance their AP function during a critical period of operational improvement. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and working alongside their team to achieve results. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations while providing guidance and support to the AP team.
- Evaluate, improve, and implement AP processes and internal controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Closely monitor and manage Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting company cash flow objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and recommend best practices.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and develop reporting.
- Work extensively within Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP).
- Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure timely month-end close support and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives throughout the engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
- Experience improving AP workflows, implementing controls, and driving process efficiencies.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable best practices and working capital management, including DPO.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Experience using Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay
$90,000 - $105,000 (DOE)
