Duties/Responsibilities
- Receives and verifies expense reports
- Reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed
- Aids in accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
- Maintains accurate historical records of payments and actions around payments
- Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Strong computer software knowledge/skills, including Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting
- Associate degree preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
