Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Stellar Cyber is a fast-growing cyber security company focused on delivering holistic cyberattack protection to organizations while significantly reducing total costs of ownership with its innovative Open XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) platform based on advanced ML and security technologies. We are seeking a Full Cycle Accounts Payable Professional with startup passion, a can-do attitude, and a desire to make an impact while building a future for themselves and Stellar Cyber.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full cycle of accounts payable activities including coding, data entry, invoice validation, and payment processing
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and prepare reports as needed
• Record financial transactions in the general ledger
• Prepare and post journal entries to reflect account balances accurately
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist in month-end close activities and provide necessary support to the Corporate Controller
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Full Cycle AP
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with Accounting Software Systems
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Pay

The base compensation range for this role is USD 70,000–95,000 per year. Total compensation includes bonus opportunity and equity and will vary based on candidate location.
