Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

This position is a Part Time position, located on-site at Famous headquarters in Fairlawn, OH. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to this location for the role.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent Vendor communication and contact
• Review statements
• Scan and index invoices
• Verify proper approval on invoices
• Research and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendors
• Process high volume of payables (500-1000 accounts payable transactions per week)
• Checks and approves all vouchers for payment
• Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary
• Affords monthly closings
• Affords assistance with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary
• Performs additional duties as needed

Required Experience And Skills

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
• Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
