Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and inquiries fast
• Reconcile vendor statements and chase down outstanding invoices before they become problems
• Match invoices to purchase orders and verify accuracy before anything gets processed
• Code purchase orders and invoices correctly, every time
• Enter invoice data into financial software with speed and precision
• Manage weekly invoicing, payments, and vendor account issues end to end
• Make sure billing errors turn into credits, not write-offs
• Keep stakeholders updated on open invoices and credits
• Request and track Notice to Owner releases on schedule
• Jump in on month-end close and other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 1+ years of AP or related experience
• Strong Excel skills — formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs
• Sharp attention to detail and comfort working with high accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-starter who meets deadlines without being chased
• Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Sage experience a plus.
