About the Role

Responsible for leading the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, maintaining general ledger integrity, and delivering accurate financial analysis to support operational and leadership decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries, performing detailed variance analyses, and driving process improvements to tighten the close cycle.
  • Ensure accurate data capture, timely issue resolution, and consistent application of accounting policies to support a faster, more reliable financial close.
  • Manage monthly reconciliations across general and subsidiary ledger accounts, ensuring accurate balance validation, timely variance identification, and complete audit-ready documentation.
  • Oversee data pulls, exception tracking, and corrective journal entries while maintaining a disciplined review and approval workflow that supports financial integrity and compliance.
  • Run ad hoc account and financial analysis for operations, commercial, and leadership, providing timely insights that support decision-making across revenue performance, cost trends, margin health, customer account behavior, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide backup support to Accounts Payable and other accounting functions as needed.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and projects, including process improvements related to AP automation, reconciliation accuracy, and enhanced reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience.
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.

Skills

  • Knowledge of the full AP cycle.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP as it touches AP and accruals.
  • Strong Excel skills; fluency in standard office tools.
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Exposure to NetSuite (implementation), FloQast, or Datarails.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement or automation initiatives.
  • Experience with AP automation platforms or workflow tooling.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure within deadlines; excellent organizational skills.
