Accounts Payable Specialist

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Sarasota, FL (Remote Pay: $36/hour Experience: Prior experience implementing automation, or the ability to recognize where AI/automation. Type: Part-time; Temporary HH Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Keep accounting operations running smoothly by managing accounts payable and daily transaction review and processing through Ramp.Perform daily cash reconciliations in Sage Intacct.Field internal accounting questions and work alongside the Accounting Manager to ensure transactions are coded correctly.Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper allocation/split between the two business entities.Support month-end close, including ownership of bank reconciliations, preparing/submitting journal entries for approval, and drafting monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Accounting Manager.Research and help untangle or reconcile complex/messy accounts as needed.Support accounting in a project-based consulting environment involving client contracts, subcontractors, and vendors, including accurate time tracking and reconciliation to support accurate client billing.Evaluate current accounting processes and establish clear, practical documentation of the role and workflows to help ensure the accounting function is audit-ready, including appropriate journal-entry approval processes.Identify opportunities to improve or automate AP/accounting workflows.
