About the role

Supporting the financial operations that keep our projects moving forward, the Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support of the accounts payable function, including invoice receipt, scanning, processing, verification, and payment
  • Review and process employee expense reports accurately and timely
  • Respond to lien-related inquiries and support compliance documentation
  • Maintain organized records through document management, filing, and scanning
  • Serve as a backup to payroll processing, including training alongside the Payroll Processing Manager and stepping in as needed
  • Support additional accounting and administrative tasks in partnership with the CFO and Controller
  • Contribute to process improvements and help maintain efficient, accurate workflows

Requirements

  • You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and take ownership of your work
  • You understand the importance of accuracy and confidentiality, and you approach tasks with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • You have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • You have experience in accounts payable or general accounting support (construction industry experience is a plus)
  • You have understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and related regulations (strongly preferred)
  • You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to problem-solve effectively
  • You have a high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • You have solid business acumen and attention to detail
  • You have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and organized way

Qualifications

  • You have experience working with PDF tools and document management systems

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
