Accounts Payable Specialist

Fred Beans Automotive Group is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Abington, PA.

Responsibilities

• Post all accounts payable invoices on a timely basis, ensuring proper coding to accounts (follow the Uniform Accounting Guide) and authorization.
• Notify the controller of any unusual or unusually large purchases.
• Ensure monthly invoices are posted by the 3rd working day of the following month, including regular expense items (utilities, phone, building maintenance, etc.), posted or accrued.
• Clean vendor report monthly and submit a clean report at the end of the month for review with the controller.
• Work with department managers, with the aid of the controller, concerning the proper use of purchase orders.
• Notify the controller of any unauthorized or misused purchase orders and clean the purchase order listing monthly.
• Reconcile manufacturer’s statements weekly/monthly and ensure timely and accurate payment (if applicable).
• Set up vendors as needed, ensuring a W-9 and tax ID number is received for IRS 1099 purposes, obtain insurance certificates, and provide copies to the insurance coordinator.
• Process 1099 mailings at the end of the year.
• Process direct payables as needed.
• Post all intercompany accounts payable bills.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Past Accounts Payable or other accounting experience is a plus.
• A great attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

$20–$22/hour based on experience.
