Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Knoxville, Tennessee will process invoices, maintain vendor records, and support project accounting. Military Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Issue and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors and Project Managers.
• Maintain vendor records in COINS ERP.
• Ensure expense reports are completed on time.
• Help with annual and monthly closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with answering phones while the receptionist is on lunch or PTO.
• Assist AP Manager and Controller, as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience in Construction accounting preferred.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; equivalent AP experience will also be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to keep a drug-free workplace.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to sit or stand at a computer for 8 hours per day.

Pay

$18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience. Annual profit-sharing bonus.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
