Accounts Payable Specialist
About the role
Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Hybrid Entry-Level Accounts Payable Specialist. This role focuses on processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting daily accounts payable operations while ensuring timely and accurate payments. Compensation
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, analytical abilities, communication skills, and client hiring needs. Additional compensation and benefits details will be shared during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Process vendor invoices accurately and on time
- Verify invoices and supporting documentation
- Prepare and process electronic and check payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accounts payable records and documentation
- Respond to vendor payment inquiries professionally
- Aid with month-end closing and reporting activities
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursements
- Maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams
- Support audits by preparing financial documentation
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, administration, customer service, or related roles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
Nice to have
- Internship or entry-level accounting experience
- Experience with ERP or accounting software
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes
