Accounts Payable Specialist

Our Client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team in Westbrook, ME. This is a fully onsite, contract position.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Review and verify invoice coding and approvals
• Prepare and process weekly check, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships
• Assist with month-end closing activities and AP reporting
• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience processing high-volume invoices
• Knowledge of month-end close procedures

Pay

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
