About the role
Addison Group is partnering with a growing and fast-paced organization to identify an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role offers exposure to multiple accounting functions, modern financial systems, and process improvement initiatives. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely entry
- Support full-cycle accounts payable activities including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing
- Review employee expenses and financial transactions for accuracy and proper allocation
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation across multiple systems and platforms
- Assist with accounting technology initiatives, system enhancements, and automation projects
- Support data management efforts related to financial system implementations and process improvements
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice, payment, and accounting-related issues
- Assist with vendor communication and account maintenance activities
- Support accounting projects, reporting requests, and operational initiatives as needed
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts within the accounting function
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related experience
- Experience processing invoices and supporting transactional accounting activities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience working with accounting software and cloud-based financial platforms
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach to work
Pay
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour, dependent on applicable experience.
