Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

HELADOS ARMONIA is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who can contribute to invoice review, payment support, vendor record maintenance, and accounts-payable documentation. This is a remote United States position where disciplined documentation and consistent ownership are as important as completing the task itself. Because the position is remote, work should remain visible through clear status updates, well-maintained files, and concise written notes. Good handoffs matter: another team member should be able to understand what was completed, what remains open, and what evidence supports the current status. Consistent documentation is an important part of the position. Notes, trackers, and files should be maintained in a way that supports review, follow-up, and continuity when work passes between people or teams.

Responsibilities

• Protect financial information and follow established authorization procedures.
• Support month-end or periodic accounts-payable tasks within assigned responsibilities.
• Enter approved invoice details accurately into designated accounting or workflow systems.
• Identify duplicates, missing approvals, unusual amounts, or other exceptions requiring follow-up.
• Assist with routine reconciliations and research straightforward differences.
• Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders or vendors regarding missing information.

Capabilities That Matter

• Education or experience appropriate to an entry-level or early-career accounting support role.
• Basic understanding of accounts-payable or accounting concepts.
• Ability to document exceptions and follow approval procedures carefully.
• Professional handling of confidential financial information.
• Ability to work accurately with repetitive financial data.
• You do not need to know every internal system on day one; the important foundation is careful work, willingness to learn, and consistent follow-through.

Pay

$42,000-$52,000 per year
