Accounts Payable Director

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 • Location: Orlando, FL

About the role

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Director to lead a high-volume shared services function within a large, established healthcare organization. This high-visibility role partners with senior Finance and Accounting leadership to drive automation, process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives. The position offers strong organizational stability, long-term growth opportunities, and the chance to strengthen controls, improve scalability, and enhance overall AP performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor management
• Develop and mentor AP managers and team members
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, and service levels to ensure operational excellence
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
• Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and AP policies
• Partner with cross-functional departments (Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations) to improve workflows and resolve issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 7+ years of Accounts Payable or shared services experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume AP environment
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, procure-to-pay processes, and internal controls
• Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
