Accounts Payable Coordinator

About the role

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance & Accounting team in Virginia Beach. In this role, you’ll help ensure that invoices are processed accurately, vendors are paid timely, and financial records are maintained with care and integrity. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $38,000 - $42,000 annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and timely
• Maintain accurate financial information and records
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries professionally and promptly
• Help ensure accounts payable procedures and internal controls are followed
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support smooth operations

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and internal controls
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (sorting formulas and data management)
• Ability to learn new financial systems
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s non-profit Christian mission
