Overview The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for coding, processing and data entry of vendor payables invoices. Duties may also include opening, stamping and distribution of department mail, filing as needed, problem research and resolution and communication with internal and external personnel. Primary Responsibilities Processes high volume of vendor invoices daily through the AP workflow ensuring timely and accurate processingReview invoices for accuracy and completeness, including vendor information, accounting information, and supporting documentationIdentify and resolve invoice discrepancies, coding errors, duplicate invoices, and missing informationCommunicate with internal departments to obtain clarification, resolve issues, and facilitate timely invoice processingMonitor workflow queues, prioritize invoices, and follow up on pending items to meet processing deadlinesEnsure invoices are properly routed for approval and comply with established AP policies and internal controlsAdapt to SAP system conversion activities and evolving business processes while maintaining productivity and accuracyRespond to vendor inquiries regarding account information via email / telephoneAssist with updating and reconciling ledgers, journals, and/or accounts, as neededPerform check runs for assigned Division(s)Perform other job related duties as assigned Additional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experienceKnowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectivesProficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machinePhysical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs EEO Statement Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
