Accounts Payable Coordinator
About the role
The MX Holdings Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for entering daily financial transactions to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of financial obligations. This role involves coding and entering invoices into the general ledger, preparing payments, and filing paid invoice packets. Additionally, the coordinator assists with month-end closing, identifies non-compliant transactions, communicates with suppliers and customers, and performs other general accounting duties.
Responsibilities
- Coding and entering invoices into the general ledger, preparing payments, and filing paid invoice packets (70%)
- Answering questions from peers and other departments (10%)
- Aiding in the completion of the month-end closing by ensuring all transactions are entered into the system (5%)
- Identifying transactions that do not comply with company policies and escalating to the appropriate manager (5%)
- Communicating with internal and external suppliers/customers (5%)
- Performing other general accounting duties, as assigned (5%)
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- Two or more years of relevant experience or an associate degree in Accounting or a related field
- Solid computer entry skills
- Solid attention to detail skills
- Solid math skills
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
- MS Office/Outlook experience preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must have regular attendance
