About the role
The Accounts Payable Clerk supports daily financial operations by processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate accounts payable records, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Verify required approvals and ensure compliance with company policies
- Prepare and process scheduled payment runs (check, ACH, and wire)
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Respond to vendor inquiries and internal requests professionally
- Support audits by providing documentation and reports as needed
- Assist with additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
