Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

The Accounts Payable Representative plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices while supporting strong relationships with both internal departments and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing vendor invoices accurately and timely for posting in AIM's various accounting systems
• Validating invoice charges against purchase orders, goods/service receipts, and authorized approvals
• Identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies through research and investigation
• Following up with vendors and internal departments to resolve outstanding invoice issues
• Coinciding with AIM departments to obtain information and clear pending transactions
• Reconciling vendor statements against the company's accounts payable subledger
• Monitoring vendor payment schedules to support timely and accurate payments

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable or accounting function
• A good general understanding of computer systems and accounting software
• Intermediate-level Excel skills
• An organized, detail-oriented, and independent worker
• Able to adapt quickly to changing situations and proactively address challenges
• A commitment to providing quality service to both internal and external clients
