About the role
InterAtlas is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Staff Accountant, this role plays a vital part in supporting the company’s financial operations.
This position is essential for:
- Processing and issuing accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Monitoring and reconciling customer accounts and resolving billing discrepancies with internal teams and clients.
- Following up with customers for collections and investigating and resolving customer inquiries.
- Responsible for customer set up and maintenance including processing credit applications.
- Processing payments received ensuring they are accurately recorded and resolving any discrepancies.
- Receiving, opening, and distributing incoming mail and performing general administrative tasks for the account department.
- Auxiliary duties such as assisting with driver pay administration by reviewing trip data and ensuring payroll inputs are accurate, and supporting Accounts Payable tasks during PTO and Vacation periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting or invoicing roles.
- Post-secondary education, focused on Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in the transportation, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain sector is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and similar functions.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand and maintain high standards of confidentiality while exercising discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
