Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

Dometic Land Vehicles Americas is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance team. This role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and is based in Elkhart, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage the accounts payable function, including matching invoices to purchase orders, coding invoices to GL accounts, and preparing payments.
• Set up new vendors and update existing vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable balances to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and answer questions related to accounts payable.
• Process expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Aid with month-end close and prepare necessary reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed and organized.
• Aid with other accounting and finance tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
