Accounts Payable Clerk

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately Process all invoices, check requests, and expense reports as they are received.
• Audit for accuracy, match to purchase orders and receiving, and accurately review and code.
• Resolve invoice problems or discrepancies.
• Assist supervisor / manager with resolving problems and issues in Accounts Payable.
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
• Print and process checks.
• Research vendor statements, phone calls, and discrepancies.
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Accurately file paid invoices.
• Assist with month-end process.

• Education And/or Experience:
  • Associate Degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • One year of accounts payable experience with an Associate Degree.
  • Three to five years of accounts payable experience with no degree.
• Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
  • Accounts Payable: High degree of attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, strong time management and organizational skills, strong communication skills (email, phone, in person), knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures, proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, ability to work well with all co-workers, vendors, and management, must work effectively under minimum supervision, be able to organize and maintain accurate records.
• Physical Demands: Sit, use keyboard, use fine manipulation with hands and fingers. Lift up to 10 pounds. Work Environment: Clean, temperature-controlled environment. Noise level is low. No personal protective equipment needed.
