Accounts Payable Auditor
Audits vendor payments
- Verifies entries and compares system reports to balances
- Analyzes invoice/expense reports
- Records entries
- Solves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
- Ensures credit receipt
- Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Reimburses employee expenses
Primary Responsibilities
- Audit company payments to suppliers and reimbursement payments
- Work with Accounts Payable leadership to create processes to increase accuracy
- Oversee the workload of the Accounts Payable Clerks in order to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Help solve issues regarding the use of tools, guides, and procedures
- Assist in revising reference tools, guides and procedures manuals
- Research and respond to executive inquiries
- Analyze generated reports for quality and productivity within the Department
- Assist in training both divisional and departmental users on accounts payable processes as they relate to transactions in the SAP System
- Provide feedback to Management regarding training needs based on the frequency of problem types and inquiries from employees
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate of Arts degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred
- 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
Physical Demands
- Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- Occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
