Accounts Payable Auditor

Audits vendor payments

• Verifies entries and compares system reports to balances
• Analyzes invoice/expense reports
• Records entries
• Solves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
• Ensures credit receipt
• Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments
• Reimburses employee expenses

Primary Responsibilities

• Audit company payments to suppliers and reimbursement payments
• Work with Accounts Payable leadership to create processes to increase accuracy
• Oversee the workload of the Accounts Payable Clerks in order to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Help solve issues regarding the use of tools, guides, and procedures
• Assist in revising reference tools, guides and procedures manuals
• Research and respond to executive inquiries
• Analyze generated reports for quality and productivity within the Department
• Assist in training both divisional and departmental users on accounts payable processes as they relate to transactions in the SAP System
• Provide feedback to Management regarding training needs based on the frequency of problem types and inquiries from employees
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate of Arts degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred
• 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting

Physical Demands

• Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
• Occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• Occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
