Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Overview

Brandon & Clark, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the Accounting team in Lubbox, Texas. This full‑time role handles both accounts payable and accounts receivable/invoicing functions, ensuring vendor invoices and customer billing are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit customer invoices through billing portals such as Ariba and OpenInvoice.
• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve invoicing and billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Match vendor purchase orders to corresponding vendor invoices.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding or unmatched items.
• Identify and resolve payment and statement discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of recent, relevant accounting experience.
• Solid accounting background with strong understanding of both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Experience submitting customer invoices through billing portals such as Ariba and OpenInvoice.
• Strong accounts payable experience, including purchase‑order‑to‑invoice matching and vendor statement reconciliation.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for regular use of a keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
• Visual acuity to review documents and data on screen and in print.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Standard climate‑controlled office environment.
• Regular use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
• Primarily an in‑office position based at the Lubbock, Texas location.
