Accounts Assistant

14 Oct - 18 Nov 26 Carlisle An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover site based in Carlisle. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts department. Working closely with the dealership’s Management Accountant and Retailer Accountant, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day transactional accounting tasks, supporting accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the success of the business. Salary: Competitive Hours: 40 hours per week Role Responsibilities Cash/daily BankingBank Statement allocationsPurchase Invoice processingCredit Control Ledger Maintenance – ensuring Sales and Purchase Ledgers are tidySetting up bank paymentsFiling purchase invoicesAssist with Vehicle Stock countsOther ad-hoc accounts tasks The ideal candidate will have general accounts experience which may include one of the following: Sales & Purchase LedgerCredit ControlExcellent communication and organisational skillsIT Literate.General office / administration experienceEffective time management and attention to detailAAT qualification would be desirable but not essential Experience of working in the motor industry and knowledge of Kerridge would be desirable, but not essential, as full training will be given.
