ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR I

Division/Department: Accounting – Greeley Fed Beef Plant, Greeley, CO

Reports to: Assistant Controller

About the role

This position will assist with daily accounting tasks at the plant, including the accounting and reconciliation of expenses, accruals, production, and inventory. The supervisor will contribute to drafting P&L statements weekly as well as monthly close functions.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, adjust, and maintain fresh & frozen inventory within JBS perpetual inventory system with a high level of accuracy
• Compile and analyze daily production, and report yields to plant stakeholders
• Month-end closing procedures include accruals, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, inventory counting, income statement overview, and required SOX controls for this location
• Assist other departments with their accounting inquiries
• Other duties as requested

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Minimum of 2 years accounting educational experience (preferred), or 5 years of office or industry experience
• Microsoft Office proficient; Microsoft Excel knowledge mandatory; SAP or similar
• Weekend availability required

Skills

• Microsoft Office 365, internal warehouse management system, and internal perpetual inventory management system
• General computer knowledge, effective communication skills, and critical thinking
• Time management and attention to detail

Pay

Base salary range of $60,000 - $70,000
