Accounting Clerk I
About the role
This position requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail. The Accounting Clerk I will engage with various internal and potentially external stakeholders, making effective communication skills essential. Reporting to the Accounting Services Supervisor, this role is integral to all accounting functions as well as providing support across departments.
Responsibilities
- Enter incoming A/P invoices for processing.
- Process expense reports for accuracy and payment.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of certain products or accounts.
- Assist with billing calculations and prepare invoices.
- Assist with processing monthly customer rebates.
- Assist in inventory tracking and counts.
- Update Excel files in all areas of responsibility.
- Update customer information in our CRM as necessary.
- Order office supplies and other items as necessary.
- Serve as a backup for shipping as needed.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree or technical training may be required for some roles.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
Skills
- Hard skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Soft skills:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external audiences.
- Flexible with a positive, proactive attitude.
Physical Demands
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
