Accounting Supervisor

About the role

A growing distribution company in the Raleigh area is seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

The role includes partnering with departments such as Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and Customer Service.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting staff
• Support month-end close processes
• Maintain internal controls
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
• Prepare financial reports

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems

Skills

• Familiarity with integrated business systems and system optimization (strong advantage)
