About the role

The role of Financial Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing financial operations and grant management within the organization. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with all relevant regulations, and effective budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants and financial analysts.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and analysis.
• Manage grant applications and ensure successful funding.
• Collaborate with external auditors to maintain audit readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or similar.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage budgets and forecast financial outcomes.
• Experience in managing grants and contracts.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
