Accounting Staff

SUMMARY

Obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure timely resolution of quality issues with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Review regular processes to streamline and reduce paperwork and rework.
• Compiles composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by department or senior management.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Perform Accounting functions according to generally accepted accounting principles.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or an Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Languages Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay Range

$25 per hour
