Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from $40,000 to $47,000. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews, prepares, and processes invoices, purchase orders, travel requests, and reimbursements in accordance with institutional and state policies.
  • Covers and monitors requisitions, procurement card transactions, and vendor payments; ensures documentation accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Reconciles accounts, verifies accuracy of charges, and assists in preparing financial reports and correcting discrepancies.
  • Affords travel-related processes to faculty and staff; ensures all requests, expense reports, and supporting documentation meet policy standards.
  • Processes eForms and maintains timekeeping records for assigned departments, including hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Serves as a resource for departmental staff and faculty on financial procedures; promotes understanding of policies and provides responsive, professional assistance.
  • Works closely with departmental leadership to improve procedures, ensure compliance, and support operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; four years of accounting or related financial experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; experience in higher education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Concur, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Problem solving skills.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm.

Working Conditions

May work around standard office conditions. Uses standard office equipment.
