ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST Saxonburg, PA $55,000- $65,000 Our client, a local government organization, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with approximately 2 years of experience who is looking to build a strong foundation across a variety of accounting and financial functions. The Accounting Specialist will support day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations, billing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation. Overview Of The Accounting Specialist Role Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash management.Support monthly financial reporting and preparation of financial schedules.Assist with annual budgeting and external audit preparation.Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.Provide support with payroll and other administrative accounting functions.Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications For The Accounting Specialist Role Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Strong understanding of accounting principles.Experience with reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger accounting.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn accounting software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
