About the role
The company is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a strong focus on accounts payable, along with general accounting responsibilities and customer service support. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a job. The role offers a hybrid schedule with remote a few days, must be local to the Branford area.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Review invoices, match purchase orders, code expenses, and prepare payments
- Aid with vendor communication and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support general accounting functions, including reconciliations, data entry, and account maintenance
- Provide customer service support by responding to internal and external inquiries professionally
- Help maintain organized financial records and support the month-end close process
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
