Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Shared Services organization, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across all MBI brands.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of supplier payments, customer invoicing, cash application, and related financial transactions.
- Oversee automated Accounts Payable processes utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA), monitor bot performance, manage exceptions, and identify opportunities to expand automation and improve efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to measure performance, optimize resources, and support continuous improvement.
- Review and approve key transactional activities, including payment runs, ACH and wire releases, vendor invoices, and dealer invoicing, while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Drive process improvements by standardizing workflows, implementing technology-enabled solutions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier, dealer, and customer inquiries, resolving complex transactional issues in a timely manner.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining strong process controls and coordinating audit requests and documentation.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Shared Services team through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and cross-training initiatives.
- Recommend and implement policies, procedures, and system enhancements that strengthen controls, improve operational performance, and support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in Shared Services, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting operations, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership experience managing and developing accounting or shared services teams
- Experience working in a public company environment and familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance is preferred
- Experience leading process improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives within finance operations
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions; experience supporting or managing automated AP processes is preferred
- Experience with Blue Prism or similar automation platforms is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills with a focus on process optimization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Great Plains, AS400, Infor, or similar enterprise applications is preferred
