Job Duties
- Aids supervisor in identifying process improvement opportunities and investigating/researching solution options.
- Drafts recommendations and alternative options for projects; writes reports, letters, and memos.
- Learns or assists in implementing approved projects; may personally implement less complex projects.
- Develops or evaluates requests for proposals and contracts; monitors contractor performance; prepares status reports.
- Develops and leads training materials for users; coaches and supports staff from various departments.
- Answers questions and provides information to employees and the public regarding programs and issues.
- Tracks, reviews, processes, and analyzes data; maintains computer files.
- Performs or guides others in project implementations/uses as assigned.
- Recommends, reviews, and monitors FAA Regulations and Advisory Circulars compliance for the Airport Business Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in a related field.
- Any combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- Must pass job-related tests.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Best practices and current trends in accounting transaction processes.
- Federal, state, and local laws as they apply to specific accounting transactions.
- Research and data collection techniques.
- Accounting systems and computer applications.
- Specialized bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Office practices and procedures.
Supervision
- Works under the direction of an administrative superior.
- Work is reviewed through meetings, status reports, and results obtained.
Working Conditions
- Usual office environment with occasional field trips.
- Occasional evening, weekend, and/or holiday work may be required.
