Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $30.50/hour (Depending on Experience) Shift: 1st Shift About The Role We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, accounting activities, and employee-related functions in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing payroll and accounting responsibilities accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, 401(k), garnishments, taxes, and other deductionsEnsure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay ratesProcess weekly payroll for office and field employeesProvide assistance to Human Resources as neededProcess weekly employee expense reimbursementsFile payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end, including processing W-2sFacilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditorsProvide support to the Accounting DepartmentDownload and upload data files weekly for health and dental insuranceProcess company credit card transactions Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of related experienceExtensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxesAbility to multitask and manage time effectivelyStrong verbal and written communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
