Accounting & Payroll Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes Payroll in accordance with company policies
- Affords assistance in the review and processing of Accounts payable and expense reports and 1099s as necessary
- Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
- Manages the account reconciliations on a timely basis
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements and statistical reports as required
- Manages and maintains standard month end reconciliations for areas of responsibility like, but not limited to: Bank account reconciliations and related GL posting, Fixed asset additions, retirements, depreciation, Reconciliation of sub ledgers to the associated GL account
- Ensures the accuracy and completeness of the financial information for areas of responsibility
- Ensures that GAAP is followed at all times and revenue recognition is timely and accurate
Qualifications/Skills
- BS degree in Accounting with minimum 4-5 years general ledger experience
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-look-ups, macros, etc)
- Experience in Dynamics Business Central or ADP payroll preferred
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Team player with a strong work ethic, outgoing personality and a "can-do" attitude
- Extremely organized with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with a month-end and quarter-end close process
- Experience in Inventory/Cost Accounting is desirable
Work Environment
A collaborative, open space work environment located on the second floor of the 40,000 sq. foot facility located in Broomfield, Colorado. The Accounts Payable Specialist sits with the Accounting and Finance team, these members share a common desk area. There are approximately 50 employees in the 40,000 sq. ft Broomfield corporate facility, which houses multiple quiet telephone booths and a large employee breakroom for the employees' use.
