About the role

The role of Accountant and Payroll Manager involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and managing payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Manage payroll processes including processing employee timecards, generating paychecks, and handling tax withholdings.
  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits and deductions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounting and payroll.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with payroll software such as ADP or Gusto.
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
