About the role
The role of Accountant and Payroll Manager involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and managing payroll processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Manage payroll processes including processing employee timecards, generating paychecks, and handling tax withholdings.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits and deductions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounting and payroll.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with payroll software such as ADP or Gusto.
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
