The Opportunity

Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking an Accounting & Office Operations Coordinator to become an integral part of their team. This is more than a traditional bookkeeping position—it's an opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure, improving processes, and taking ownership of both the accounting function and day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and takes pride in creating efficient systems. You'll work closely with leadership while supporting accounting, office administration, and light HR functions that help keep the business running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and payment processing
  • Process vendor payments through checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage ERP software
  • Review financial statements, inventory valuation reports, purchase orders, aged receivables, and aged payables
  • Assist with month-end financial reporting and record maintenance
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
  • Support employee onboarding, HR documentation, and other administrative HR functions as needed
  • Develop and improve processes that keep accounting, financial records, and office operations organized and efficient
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across accounting and administrative functions
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with leadership and various departments to stay aligned on company operations
  • Help maintain an organized, professional office environment while becoming a trusted resource for the team

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Stable, full-time opportunity with a growing organization
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving systems and processes

  • Working knowledge of accounting software (Sage experience is highly preferred)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Previous HR, office administration, or employee onboarding experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Who You Are

You're someone who naturally takes ownership of your work. You enjoy bringing organization to busy environments, creating efficient systems, and finding ways to improve processes rather than simply maintaining them. You don't wait to be told what needs attention—you take initiative, stay ahead of deadlines, and take pride in leaving your workspace, projects, and responsibilities better than you found them. If you're looking for a position where you can truly make the role your own while becoming a valued member of a growing team, we'd love to hear from you.

The Musts

  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Comfortable taking initiative and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial and employee information
