Accounting Manager Electronic Services Credit Union

Baylands Family Credit Union is seeking an experienced Controller, Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager to lead our accounting, financial reporting, and electronic banking operations. This position reports directly to the President/CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investments, cash management, and Asset Liability Management (ALM).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, board reports, NCUA Call Reports and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Oversee electronic banking services, including online banking, mobile banking, ACH, debit/ATM card programs, bill pay, mobile deposit, and eStatements.
  • Develop policies, improve processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Supervise and develop department staff while serving as a member of the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of accounting experience in public accounting, banking, credit unions, or industry.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, month-end close, audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

This role is ideal for accounting leaders who want to expand their impact by partnering with executive leadership and shaping the future of a growing community credit union. Successful candidates will have experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or other accounting leadership role within a credit union, bank, or financial institution.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with typical business hours Monday through Friday onsite at the Baylands Family Credit Union West Point Branch. Additional hours may be required to meet business needs, month-end closing, audits, budgeting, and regulatory deadlines.
