Accounting Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations in Escondido, CA. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in construction accounting, project costing, and industry-specific software tools.

Responsibilities

• Report Directly to CFO
  Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10 accounting staff members.
  Financial Oversight: Oversee all full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
  GAAP Compliance: Ensure all financial statements and practices adhere strictly to GAAP standards.
  WIP Management: Lead the Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition processes.
  Software Optimization: Utilize Sage 100 and Autodesk to streamline project tracking and financial reporting.
  Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage corporate budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
  Audit & Tax: Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation with external CPA firms.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Location: Must be local to the Escondido, CA area (commutable distance).

• Industry: Solid background working in accounting for a General Contractor.

• Software: Hands-on experience with Sage 100 Construction and Autodesk software.

• Management: Proven experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
