Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager at The Premiere Group oversees the accounting and analysis for multiple entities including commercial real-estate, equipment rental, technology, construction, and home service industries. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems and processes, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and providing insights into the financial performance of assigned entities.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Asset Accounting: Perform tasks related to Fixed Asset accounting for assigned entities
• Financial Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial due diligence on target companies, including analyzing financial statements, identifying risks and opportunities, and assessing the impact on financials
• Accounting Operations Direction: Assist/lead in the planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions and month end close
• Financial Reporting: Assist with accounting's operational functions for monthly, quarterly, and year end close. Prepare and analyze reports, including consolidated financial statements, to provide insights into the financial performance of assigned entities
• Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to assess the financial health and strategic accounting practices of assigned entities
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the process
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to support the company's growth objectives
• Reporting: Report regularly on Key Performance Indicators as well as GAAP financials, contributing to strategic decision-making
• Month-End Close and Audit Support: Responsible for meeting deadlines in month-end close procedures and support annual financial statement reviews/audits

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in finance or accounting role
• Managerial experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP
• Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Master Degree or CPA preferred
