Accounting Manager

About The Role

The Accounting Manager oversees the month-end close process, financial reporting, and internal controls framework. This role ensures the accuracy of financial statements in strict accordance with US GAAP, while scaling accounting operations to support rapid corporate growth. Operating within a fast-paced environment, this position drives the integration of automated accounting systems, collaborates with external auditors, and maintains robust SOX compliance procedures. The role is critical in translating complex financial transactions into clear, compliant, and actionable financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls under the SOX 404 framework to mitigate financial risks
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, overseeing daily operational accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Coordinate external audit requests, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure efficient and timely completion of annual audits
• Partner with FP&A and Systems teams to optimize ERP workflows (NetSuite) and automate manual accounting processes

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate tech experience preferred
• Active CPA license is required
• Deep technical expertise in US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting frameworks
• Proven experience administering and optimizing enterprise ERP systems, specifically NetSuite
• Strong excel modeling skills and experience handling large datasets for financial reconciliations
• Bonus: Experience with SQL, Alteryx, or implementing automated revenue recognition software (e.g., Zuora RevPro)
