About The Role We’re looking for an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing technology company. You’ll work alongside our Accounting and Finance teams on projects related to accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close while building a practical understanding of how an accounting function operates. What You’ll Do Assist with basic data entry and upkeep of accounting recordsSupport the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams with administrative tasksHelp prepare draft journal entries and assist with account reconciliations under supervisionSupport month-end and year-end close activities as assignedOrganize and maintain financial documents and electronic filesAssist with audit preparation and internal reporting requestsPerform simple financial analysis or ad hoc projects as neededFollow company policies, accounting standards, and confidentiality requirements Who You Are Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic understanding of accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas a plus)Ability to handle sensitive information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsEagerness to learn and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Previous internship or coursework in accounting or financeExperience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or similar) What we offer Paid internship experienceFounder and leadership speaker sessionsDedicated mentorship and cross-functional networkingIndustry and market education sessionsCareer development workshops (resume review, mock interviews, interview prep)Team-building events and intern socialsLunch & Learns with company leadersIn-office perks including snacks and beverages Internship Information Paid InternshipMay - August (12 weeks)Tuesday - Friday, 8 hours Equal Employment Opportunity TensorWave is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
