Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions
• Assist with employee expense reimbursements, process corporate credit cards, and perform daily reconciliations of key general ledger accounts
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
• Investigate discrepancies and support resolution efforts
• Assist with data entry, document organization, and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with team members across departments, respond to basic inquiries, and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, general ledger, and reconciliations)
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn

Schedule

Duration: 3+ months
Location: STCU headquarters in Liberty Lake, WA
Hours per week: 20 - 40 hours

Requirements

Candidates must currently be enrolled in a local college for the entirety of the internship and of at least a junior standing (Masters students accepted).
