Accounting Intern

About the role

Interns perform a wide range of duties for many different departments at Northside Hospital, an award-winning, state-of-the-art healthcare system continually expanding its quality and reach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative duties to support the accounting team.
• Perform work on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet expectations and deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail.
• Assist with special projects, anticipate issues, and take initiative to resolve them.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes as assigned.
• Perform various analyses and general ledger reconciliations as needed.
• Post general ledger reclasses.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• College Accounting major (preferred).
• Good academic performance.
• Strong analytical, time management, and communication (verbal/written) skills.
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (preferred).
