Accounting Intern

About the role

This position is responsible for executing routine accounting and analysis tasks and will also aid with the posting of transactions, data compilation, account analysis, reporting, and other monthly close procedures. This position will have exposure to roles including accounting, financial analysis, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely journal entries and month-end reporting
• Conduct general ledger reviews
• Aid in the preparation of executive report packages
• Compile and analyze key financial data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work a part-time schedule during school year and during summer break at our corporate office located in Columbus, OH
• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proficient in computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Understanding of accounting concepts with a desire to learn how they are applied
• Ability to produce solutions with limited direction
• Ability to think and work individually
