Responsibilities
- Reviews open accounts for collection and past due invoices to reduce overall receivables.
- Makes outbound collection calls in a professional manner, maintaining and improving customer relations.
- Mails correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- Identifies root cause issues attributing to account delinquency and discusses with management team to improve processes and timely collection.
- Affixes to assist the accounting team with reviewing open accounts and supporting accounts receivable and collections activities.
- Helps prepare and send routine customer correspondence regarding outstanding or past-due invoices.
- Supports outbound follow-up communications with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Affixes to identify and document account discrepancies or recurring issues, and shares observations with the team to help improve processes.
- Maintains accurate and organized records, files, and spreadsheets.
- Performs general administrative and data-entry tasks to support the broader finance team.
- Participates in special projects and process-improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Recently completed a college degree; a focus in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with a professional and approachable communication style.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat a plus.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
